Located in Alamo, CA, this stately French Country estate is the result of a unique "neighborly" collaboration and a commitment to professional architectural ethics. Impluvium Architecture co-designed this residence alongside various consultants to create a home that epitomizes European elegance through its steeply pitched hipped roofs, limestone-clad exterior, and symmetrical arched windows. To ensure the neighborhood felt cohesive, the architect famously pivoted the design of his own home next door, prioritizing a harmonious streetscape over personal style. The interior reflects a sophisticated provincial aesthetic, featuring soaring coffered ceilings, distressed wood beams, and ornate stone fireplaces. Completed in 2007, the project remains a premier example of how thoughtful architectural coordination can produce a timeless, high-end sanctuary that honors both the client's vision and its natural surroundings.
