Mediterranean Home + Backyard Oasis I Vallecito Court

This Mediterranean-style estate in Lafayette, CA, showcases the ability of Impluvium Architecture to harmonize a grand residence with a challenging hillside topography. The design features a multi-story layout that hugs the natural slope, characterized by warm-toned stucco, barrel-tile roofing, and elegant wrought-iron Juliet balconies. A primary focus of the project is the seamless integration of a resort-style backyard oasis, which includes a custom infinity-edge pool, a tranquil stone waterfall, and an expansive outdoor kitchen and dining terrace. Despite rigorous local jurisdiction reviews, the project succeeded through a co-designed approach with landscape and interior consultants, resulting in a luxurious private retreat where the architecture and lush greenery appear to have evolved naturally together.
